The April 23 webinar presented by the conference United Methodist Rural Fellowship/ Advocates and featuring Bishop Larry Goodpaster focuses on the rural church and rural ministries. It may be viewed at http://bit.ly/11i9Wn6.
A key to vital congregations is small group opportunities for adults; yet we know that adult participation in traditional classes and other small groups is often sporadic, if not declining. Equipping leaders to lead small groups that are relevant and meaningful to adult lives is critical if we are to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
A video recording of one of the sessions was made available during the first week of January for viewing by all committees and committee members. At the same time, we are in conversation about the next steps we must take to bring this type of training and equipping to more people, more churches, and more groups in the future. We thank everyone for the response and for the feedback, and we anticipate offering more such webinar experiences in 2013. Please click here to view the session.
